Mankato, Minn. -- The Minnesota State men's and women's golf teams will host a grand opening of their new indoor training facility Friday, January 27 at 1 p.m.
The facility, which is located in the lower level of the Taylor Center, was completed this past fall and includes two 12x10 simulated hitting bays and a 400 square foot putting green.
The training facility, which opened in December at a cost of almost $50,000, was funded through a series of in-kind product and private cash donations.
The grand opening will include comments from Minnesota State President, Dr. Edward Inch, Director of Athletics
Kevin Buisman and Director of Maverick Golf,
Alex Schmitz.
Media is invited to tour the facility beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
