The Texas One Fund, the main Texas Longhorns athletics Name, Image, and Likeness collective, will serve as the presenting sponsor of the 2023 Orange-White Game on April 15. The athletic department announced the kickoff time will be 1 p.m., and admission to Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium will be free.

The Texas One Fund consolidated the five major NIL collectives in the Texas athletics ecosystem. That included the Clark Field Collective, Horns With Heart, the baseball-focused Occupy Left Field, the basketball-centric 40 Pack, and the golf-oriented National Championship Golf Foundation.

The stated goal of the fund is to “create positive community impact, through a one stop fund, that assists Texas athletes in cultivating and facilitating NIL opportunities and ensures collegiate athlete success year after year.”

According to the release from the school issued on Wednesday, the Texas One Fund “promotes charitable causes and events through partnerships with University of Texas student-athletes and in turn support access to charitable name, image, and likeness for these athletes, unlocked through participation.”

The 2023 Orange-White Game is part of the annual ‘Made in Austin Weekend,’ which will be April 14-16. The celebration of the city of Austin will include live music, specialty food and beverage offerings, live art installations, and the Texas Longhorns.

In addition to the football program, the Longhorn softball team will host a Big 12 conference series versus the Kansas Jayhawks at McCombs Field during the weekend. Other Longhorn athletic programs will be in action as well.

It is not yet clear when the Longhorns will begin spring practices. Last year, the Texas waited until after spring break to begin going through the 15 allotted opportunities either at the Frank Denius Fields or Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium.

In 2022, Texas used the spring game to show offseason progress following Sarkisian’s 5-7 opening campaign. A score was not kept until the very end of the contest when an offense versus defense battle in the red zone determined the victor.
