The University of Utah is raising prices again for its football season tickets.

After an 11% increase last year, the athletic department announced pricing that reflects a nearly 15% average increase in season ticket prices for the 2023 season.

It marks the second time since 2019 that season ticket prices have increased inside the 51,444-capacity Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Despite the increase, Utah’s season ticket prices are still competitive with other Pac-12 schools. The average face-value season ticket in 2023 will range from $100-450, according to an email sent out to season-ticket holders. This does not include the required Crimson Club donations or facilities fees. With those included, the total cost of a season ticket in 2023 will check in anywhere from $465 to $4,165.

An increase in season ticket prices is common among Power Five schools, especially those with recent success. Looking around the Pac-12, USC’s face-value season ranged from $450 to $720 in 2022.

Other Pac-12 schools followed this trend to a certain degree. For the 2023 season, Oregon announced its face-value season ticket range would be between $249 and $556. Oregon State set its prices between $99 and $390 and Washington State followed with prices between $275 and $525.

None of those values include the required donations and stadium fees to buy season tickets.

Season tickets at Penn State, which played Utah in the Rose Bowl, ranged from $433 to $2,700 in 2022, including donations.

Utah’s season ticket package includes seven home games in 2023, with payment plans that run through June. The highlights include visits from Florida, Oregon and Colorado. UCLA will also come to Salt Lake City to begin the Pac-12 schedule.

Rice-Eccles Stadium has sold out for 76 consecutive games dating back to 2010. The Utes have won 25 of the last 26 home games played in Salt Lake and have not lost a home game since 2020.
