Shelly Morris Resigns As Northeastern Field Hockey Head Coach

BOSTON -- Northeastern Director of Athletics and Recreation Jim Madigan announced on Wednesday, January 4 that Shelly Morris has resigned as the head coach of the field hockey program, effective immediately.
 
"I would like to thank Shelly for her many years of dedication to Northeastern Field Hockey as a student-athlete, associate head coach, and head coach," Madigan said. "I wish her the best in her future endeavors."
 
Morris recently completed her eighth season on the field hockey staff, and fifth as head coach. In her five seasons at the helm, Morris recorded an overall record of 34-52 and a 14-14 mark in CAA play.
 
A national search for the program's next head coach will begin immediately.
