After 16 seasons at the helm of Syracuse Field Hockey Head Coach Ange Bradley has announced her retirement from coaching, effective at the end of this calendar year (Dec. 31, 2022). Bradley began her tenure at Syracuse University ahead of the 2007 season after serving for six seasons as the head coach at the University of Richmond. Bradley, who has a career record of 381-143-2 (246-82 at Syracuse winning 75% of games), led the Orange to the program's first National Championship in 2015, earning her the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Coach of the Year in that same year, and the first national title by any women's program at Syracuse University.

"We appreciate Ange's 16 years of service to Syracuse University and thank her for her contributions over the years," says Director of Athletics John Wildhack. "We wish her and her family all the best."

Bradley's coaching resume at Syracuse includes 13 NCAA Tournament invitations, four Final Fours, two national championship game appearances, an ACC regular season title, four BIG EAST season titles and two BIG East Tournament Championships. Bradley, has mentored 43 All Americans, two Olympians and the first ever Syracuse University Honda Broderick Award Winner.

"I have enjoyed my time at Syracuse and am proud of this program's achievements," says Bradley. "I'd like to extend my appreciation to everyone that worked with me to build the Syracuse Field Hockey program. I am grateful to Syracuse University and the Athletics Department."

Tim Broenink will serve as interim head coach while the University conducts a national search for Bradley's successor.
