SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana University Athletics has furthered its partnership with Opendorse by launching a one-stop marketplace to support Viking student-athletes in name, image and likeness (NIL) opportunities. The Augustana Marketplace is designed primarily to help increase access to NIL opportunities for businesses interested in working with Augustana student-athletes.
 
The Augustana Marketplace offers supporters, brands and sponsors a single, streamlined platform to easily find, pitch, book and compensate AU student-athletes for their NIL services. Student-athletes can seamlessly review opportunities, accept deals and earn money. Deals completed through the Augustana Marketplace will be automatically processed through the Opendorse platform to ensure compliance with NCAA policy.
 
"The Augustana Marketplace creates a streamlined process for not just our student-athletes but also for those wanting to partner with our student-athletes," Augustana Director of Athletics Josh Morton said. "Opendorse has been an outstanding partner of ours for the past two years and this is just another step in continuing to build champions in the classroom, in competition and in the community." 
 
Student-athletes are also able to take their profile on Opendorse and easily promote it on their own social media channels.
 
Augustana's continued partnership with Opendorse keeps it at the forefront of the NIL movement. In 2020, Augustana became the first Division II school to partner with Opendorse to help build student-athlete brands through engaging digital content. The Augustana Marketplace deepens that partnership.
