EDMOND - University of Central Oklahoma director of athletics Stan Wagnon announced Chandler Short has been hired to lead the department's corporate sales and marketing efforts.

I've observed and admired the rapid career progress she's made in the NAIA ranks, and I believe she is well equipped to make a difference for UCO Athletics. Short joins UCO as the Assistant Athletic Director for Corporate Sales and Marketing.
The Texas native comes to UCO after spending the last six years at McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas. She joined McPherson in 2017 and was promoted to assistant athletic director and senior woman administrator in 2018, then was promoted again to director of athletics in March 2020.
Short graduated from McPherson in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science. She then attended the University of Oklahoma and received her master's degree in higher education and intercollegiate athletics administration in 2017.
Short is also actively pursuing her doctorate in higher education from Southern Methodist University.
A native of Edgewood, Texas, Short will oversee UCO's corporate sponsorship program and the marketing efforts of the department and its 14 varsity sports.
