Saint Francis Men's Soccer Head Coach Frank Olszewski Steps Down

LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's soccer head coach Frank Olszewski has announced that he will step down from his post to pursue another coaching opportunity.

"Coach Olszewski will be missed tremendously within our department and institution. He operated our men's soccer program with class and integrity, but above all, he made his players not only better athletes, but better students and people as well," said Saint Francis Director of Athletics James Downer. "I can only wish Coach Olszewski the best of wishes as he returns home for his next coaching endeavor. There is little doubt that he has left our program with a solid foundation capable of winning championships. I look forward to identifying our next leader who will certainly build on Coach Olszewski's many accomplishments."

Olszewski completed his fifth season at the helm of the Red Flash men's soccer team. He guided the squad to a 32-24-4 overall record in the four competitive seasons with an 18-12-4 mark in Northeast Conference (NEC) play, and three trips to the NEC Tournament. During the 2019 season, Saint Francis was the No. 1 seed in the NEC Tournament after posting a 10-5-1 overall mark and 7-2-0 record in league play. It was the ninth time in program history the Red Flash had double-digit wins.

A national search for the 10th head coach in men's soccer history will begin immediately.
