TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona and Arizona Athletics unveiled a new lactation room inside McKale Center on Tuesday in a ribbon-cutting ceremony that featured University President Dr. Robert C. Robbins, Director of Athletics Dave Heeke, head women's basketball coach Adia Barnes and others as guest speakers.

The room provides a quiet, safe and comfortable space for UArizona employees, students, fans and visitors to use a breast pump or to nurse their child. The room is on the south end of the court mezzanine under section 116. Information on how to access the room can be found on the UArizonaÂ
Family Resource Map.
The McKale Center room is one of 12 new lactation spaces that have been funded this year as part of UArizona's family-friendly initiatives in line with the university's commitment to being a family-friendly place to work, learn and grow. There are currently 35 lactation spaces found at UArizona locations statewide.
