Patrick Hamill Hired as Holy Family’s First Head Women’s Bowling Coach

The Holy Family Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Patrick Hamill, who previously spent two years as the university's bowling club head coach from 2005-07, as the university's first-ever head women's bowling coach.

"This is an exciting day for HFU as we announce the hiring of Pat as the first women's bowling coach," said Tim Hamill, Director of Athletics. "Pat has coached at the high school level for over 20 years and is highly involved and well respected in the bowling community. I am confident he will build and lead a successful Division II bowling program on the lanes and in the classroom."

Hamill arrives at Holy Family having spent the previous 20+ years at both Saint Hubert High School and Father Judge High School, first as an assistant and head JV coach before taking over as the head varsity coach at Saint Hubert in 2010 and at Father Judge in 2018.

During his time between the two schools, his teams have won a total of 11 Philadelphia Catholic League (PCL) championships.

He has also organized and implemented the PCL All-Catholic Tournament for both the men and women since 2003 and has been the scheduler for all PCL bowling matches since 2015.

Hamill is an American Bowling Congress certified coach and a member of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Bucks County board.

He bowled for Lincoln High School, where he was a Public League champion and All-Public Team selection, before working at Northeast Bowling Center for 10 years and then owning and operating Longshore Lanes for 15 years.

During the summer Hamill organizes and teaches a free bowling clinic for grade school and high school bowlers, and he has supplied over 100 free bowling balls to youth bowlers through a program developed with adult league bowlers.

He has also served as vice president of the United Junior Soccer League for over 25 years and was an assistant soccer coach at Saint Hubert for 18 years, helping them win two PCL championships.
