South Orange, N.J. - In its latest move designed to continue enhancing the student-athlete experience on campus, Seton Hall Athletics is upgrading its video display technology at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Stadium at Owen T. Carroll Field. The department has partnered with Daktronics to replace the current scoreboard with a new state-of-the-art video display that benefits the baseball, men's soccer and women's soccer programs.

The new outdoor LED video display, which will occupy the same location, structure and size as the current scoreboard, will offer enhanced time, score and in-game video capabilities all consistent with the technology that peer institutions utilize.

"We're always looking at our facilities to see where we can improve our student-athlete and fan experiences, and we're excited to now upgrade our video display technology for our baseball, men's soccer and women's soccer programs so that they have the latest and greatest for their home events," said Seton Hall Director of Athletics Bryan Felt.

Construction of the new LED video display is taking place throughout the spring and summer with completion expected in time for the beginning of the 2023 men's and women's soccer regular season in August. While construction occurs, home baseball games in 2023 will utilize a temporary scoreboard that will display score, time, inning, balls, strikes and outs. The baseball home opener is Wednesday, March 15 vs. Monmouth.

Seton Hall Athletics and Daktronics previously partnered in the 2021 renovation of historic Walsh Gymnasium with the installation of a center-hung video display/scoreboard combination and two auxiliary video displays that frame the gym's stage.
