JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida Athletics' sixth-annual Blue & Gray Bash, held at The Brumos Collection off of San Pablo Rd., generated record fundraising numbers thanks to the generosity of over 275 attendees during the event held last month.

All told, over $135,800 was raised from those that participated, good for a record-fundraising number since the Blue & Gray Bash's inception in 2017. Each year since then, North Florida has seen an increase in revenue, headlined by a 40 percent growth in attendance and 512 percent gross revenue increase since 2017.

"Achieving yet another historic Blue & Gray Bash from a revenue and attendance standpoint represents an extraordinary moment for the University of North Florida," Senior Associate AD of Development Matthew Lisiewski said. "This outpouring of support from alumni and friends speaks to their endorsement of our athletic department's progress, as well as their belief in our momentum. Their support plays a crucial role in the development of our department and it greatly enriches the experience of our talented student-athletes. We are so thankful for your support. SWOOP!"

Held in the unique venue at The Brumos Collection, a 35,000 square foot building dedicated to showcasing some of the finest automobiles in history, welcomed a group of UNF supporters, staff and more Feb. 3. 

The event featured dinner, speaking portions and a live auction centered around fundraising for student-athlete scholarships, the theme of this year's fundraising effort through the Blue & Gray Bash.

The money raised will go directly towards benefiting the resources available in student-athlete scholarships. The Blue & Gray Bash will be supplemented by the fundraising efforts made by the University of North Florida's Giving Day set for March 22 this month.
