CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Citadel Director of Athletics Mike Capaccio announced the promotions of Geoff Von Dollen and Kevin Olivett. Von Dollen will now serve as the Deputy Athletic Director for Finance and Operations, while Olivett will be the Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations.
 
Von Dollen, the senior associate athletics director for business and operations, became deputy director of athletics on Feb. 15. He will continue to have direct oversight of finance, human resources, equipment, sports medicine, facilities, game day operations and sport supervision, while leading the day-to-day operations in the department when Capaccio is absent. He will continue to be the point person for scheduling nonconference football games.
 
"Geoff has demonstrated he deserves to be the clear number two within The Citadel Athletic Department," said Capaccio. "I am excited for Geoff as with his new role, he will have new responsibilities that I expect him to grow and excel in."
 
Olivett joined the Bulldog athletic department in 2019 as the associate athletic director of external relations before being named the senior associate athletic director on Feb. 15. Over the past three years, Olivett has let a unit that has seen record increases in ticket sales and corporate sponsorships.
 
"Kevin has done an outstanding job of improving and growing our external operations, and focusing on exactly what I have asked of him in the process," said Capaccio. "I am excited to watch the continued growth in external operations."
