CINCINNATI – Director of Athletics John Cunningham and the University of Cincinnati baseball program are proud to announce the installation of a new videoboard at UC Baseball Stadium. The state-of-the-art display will be installed ahead of the 2023 home opener versus Miami (OH) on March 1.

"We are thrilled to install a new videoboard to the baseball stadium," Cunningham said. "This is another step in our athletic department being Day One Ready as we continue to improve the fan experience for all of our programs. I'm looking forward to our fans packing the stands to experience the new videoboard and watch our baseball team for the home opener on March 1."

The videoboard will be 17.85 feet by 24.15 feet and 431 square feet in total. The pixel pitch, which is the distance between individual pixels that make up the display, will be 10 millimeters, providing a crisp and clear image to all inside the venue.  

"We are looking forward to the replacing of our old videoboard," said head coach Scott Googins. "The new videoboard will enhance our gameday production and allow our fans a better experience at the ballpark."

Cincinnati opens the season with a pair of road series at Georgia State (Feb. 17-19) and No. 7 Florida (Feb. 24-26) before hosting Miami (OH) for its home opener on March 1 at UC Baseball Stadium. 

The Bearcats set the UC Baseball Stadium attendance record with 2,451 fans at their home opener a season ago. Redshirt junior Cam Scheler launched a pinch-hit, walk-off home run to lift UC to a 5-4 victory over Ohio State.
