Holy Cross welcomes Amy Coleman as Senior Associate AD

Holy Cross Associate Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Kit Hughes has announced the hiring of Amy Coleman as the new Senior Associate Director of Athletics. Coleman's primary responsibilities will include oversight for the offices of business, facilities and operations, as well as supervision of select sports.

Coleman arrives on The Hill from Boston College, where she most recently served as the senior associate director of athletics business operations.

"We could not be more excited to welcome Amy to the team here at Holy Cross," Hughes said. "She has an extensive range of experiences in high-level athletic departments, including administrative duties for nationally successful programs, and strong knowledge of the Patriot League. Her commitment to supporting student-athletes and the mission of Crusader Athletics distinguished her throughout our process and we look forward to seeing her impact on the College and our athletic program."

At Boston College, Coleman oversaw the budget for 31 varsity sports, including operating, compensation and scholarship funding, while advising coaches in strategic planning to leverage all available resources. She served as the sport administrator for select programs, including the women's lacrosse program that won the 2021 national championship. Coleman was elevated into the position in 2019 after previously serving as the department's assistant director for business & travel operations from 2018 to 2019.

"I am humbled and grateful for this opportunity to join the Holy Cross community," Coleman said. "Paramount in my work is my commitment to maintaining focus on the development and support of our student-athletes. I look forward to working with our coaches and staff in this pursuit of competitive excellence in conjunction with the Jesuit tradition of developing the whole person."

Prior to her time with the Eagles, Coleman worked nearby at Boston University, where she was the assistant business manager from 2016 to 2018. From 2014 to 2016, Coleman was the director of operations for the Terriers' women's basketball program, managing all day-to-day operations of the team while coordinating with the department's business, communications, compliance, development, facilities, marketing, and ticket offices.

From 2012 to 2014, she worked at the University of California as associate director of Olympic sports operations. She began her career in athletics as an administrative intern in the athletic departments at Cal (2010) and Boston College (2011).

Coleman is a 2006 graduate of Boston College, where she received a Bachelor's degree in marketing with a minor in education. She earned both her Master's degree in sports management and Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts in 2011. She is a member of the College Athletic Business Management Association and Women Leaders in College Sports.
