Ways to Support Student-Athletes

Maryland NIL Marketplace

The Maryland NIL Marketplace provides a single platform to allow Maryland fans, brands and sponsors to browse, book, pitch and pay current and former Terp student-athletes for services like using their images in advertising, making social media posts or showing up at events. Maryland Marketplace features current Maryland student-athletes from all 20 athletic programs; former Maryland athletes who use Opendorse can also be accessed through the marketplace.

Fanatics

Maryland fans are now able to purchase gear of their favorite Terrapin players, while also helping student-athletes monetize their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) through Fanatics' NIL program. Current student-athletes who have agreed to participate are eligible to have merchandise made and will take a percentage of revenue from each sale.

One Maryland Collective

Community leaders in Maryland have partnered with Blueprint Sports, the industry leader in full-service Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) collectives, to unveil the 'One Maryland Collective' – the official NIL collective supporting more than 550 student-athletes across all 20 sports at the University of Maryland. Until now, various collectives and other efforts have been underway to support NIL opportunities for Maryland student-athletes. The One Maryland Collective is the first collective to create a united and conscious effort to elevate the level of NIL opportunities in the market.

Brandr

Maryland Athletics and The Brandr Group (TBG) have a group licensing program for Terrapin student-athletes on all 20 teams, creating additional and new opportunities to profit off of their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) with Maryland's official trademarks and logos. Terrapin student-athletes who voluntarily opt-in to a group licensing agreement with TBG will be able to use their NIL alongside and in conjunction with Maryland's trademarks and logos that have been licensed to Maryland trademark licensees if TBG enters into agreements with Terp trademark licensees to do so.
