Hoover Tabbed as Head Coach of Track and Field

ADRIAN, Mich. – Athletic Director Craig Rainey announced the hiring of Ty Hoover as the new Adrian College track and field head coach. Hoover comes from Trine University where he graduated in 2022 with a bachelor degree in exercise science.
 
Hoover was a member of the Trine University track and field team. During his time in college, he was a member of the United States Air Force where he served a six-year term from 2016-22. In 2019, Hoover served as assistant coach of the cross country team at Trine for a season and was later named an assistant coach for the 2021-22 track and field season.
 
Hoover was involved with the Trine track and field team during the Thunder's conference championships in 2020, 2021 indoor, 2021 outdoor, 2022 indoor, and 2022 outdoor season. As an athlete at Trine, Hoover was named team captain and was nationally ranked in springs and hurdles for three seasons.
 
"I'm very excited for this opportunity," Hoover said. "I look forward to my future here with the Adrian track and field team, and I see a lot of potential for growth with a dedicated group of athletes, coaches, and athletic department."
 
Hoover will begin is coaching responsibilities immediately as the Bulldogs prepare for the upcoming indoor track and field season.
