WILSON, N.C. – Barton College Head Men's and Women's Volleyball Coach
Jeff Lennox has announced his resignation, school officials announced today. Lennox has headed up both squads since arriving on campus in 2012.

The quality of the teams he coached to include recruiting outstanding students to our campus is to be commended. I want to thank Jeff Lennox for his leadership at Barton for the past decade and we wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors."
In 10 years as the men's volleyball coach, Lennox compiled 141 wins and led the Bulldogs to three Conference Carolinas Regular Season Championships (2017-19), two league tournament titles (2017 and 2019) and a pair of berths in the NCAA National Tournament (2017 and 2019).
Lennox was named the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Coach of the Year in 2014, 2016 and 2019 and guided the Bulldogs to their first-ever postseason home match against Princeton in 2019. Lennox also coached both Vasilis Mandilaris and Angelos Mandilaris to All-American honors.

Coach (Jeff) Lennox put Barton on the national map with our men's program prior to the pandemic," noted Wilkinson. "
The team was 8-0 in Conference play and had not lost a set in league play before the world stopped for Covid-19!"
On the women's side, Lennox led the Bulldogs to 140 victories over 11 years and coached Barton to the 2016 and 2017 Conference Carolinas Regular Season and Tournament Championships. The Bulldogs also earned a berth to the NCAA Division II playoffs those two seasons while Lennox was named the league coach of the year.

The women's program got the championship ball rolling in 2016 to be followed closely by three additional team championships," added Wilkinson.
A national search for a replacement is currently underway.
