Arthur Johnson Named to LEAD1-AD Board of Directors

PHILADELPHIA – Temple University Vice President and Director of Athletics Arthur Johnson has been named to the LEAD1-AD Board of Directors.   Johnson is one of five new athletics administrators to join the board of the prestigious organization that represents the athletics directors of the 131 member universities of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). 

Joining Johnson, who will represent the American Athletic Conference, as new members of the Board are Ross Bjork (Texas A&M/SEC Representative), Gene Taylor (Kansas State/Big 12 Representative) and Amy Folan (Central Michigan/NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee Representative).

Johnson, who is in his second year at Temple, will serve a two-year term on the board.  He will serve as a member of the Communications and Advocacy Committee.


Key to LEAD1's mission is advocating on policy facing NCAA Division I FBS athletic departments, promoting consensus among FBS athletic directors, and providing valuable services to member schools – all dedicated towards supporting the success of student-athletes and future of college sports.
