GUNNISON, Colo.  Western Colorado University's head soccer coach, Amanda Raso, has submitted her resignation, effective immediately, to pursue other professional opportunities.

Coach Raso just completed her fourth season as head coach. Raso came to Western after spending the previous two years at NCAA Division I North Dakota, where she supervised the goal keepers during two of the most successful seasons in Fighting Hawks Division I history.

"We appreciate Coach Raso's contributions to our soccer program and wish her well in the future," said Mountaineer Director of Athletics, Miles Van Hee.

A national search to fill the Head Soccer Coach position will soon be underway.
