Randall named Kenyon’s interim diving coach

GAMBIER, Ohio -- Stan Randall has been named interim diving coach of the Kenyon College Owls swimming and diving programs. He had previously been volunteering as an assistant with the programs since the start of the current season.

Randall came to Kenyon after serving as the diving coach at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He worked there for 21 years and coached three NCAA Division III champions. Two of those three national titles were won in 2010, the same year in which Randall was voted the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association's NCAA Division III Diving Coach of the Year.

During his time at Trinity, he coached 15 All-America divers and helped the Tiger women's program win 20 consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) championships, while also helping the Tiger men claim 11 SCAC championships in a span of 12 seasons.

Randall's success goes beyond the collegiate scene. He's coached numerous members of U.S. National Diving Teams, including his first international gold medalist at the Can-Am-Mex Games in 1982. He also coached the internationally famous Red Roof Inn Diving Team that won U.S. national team titles in 1984 and 1986.

Randall has served as president of the Professional Diving Coaches Association and is the co-founder of Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) diving in the United States.

A native of Austin, Texas, Randall grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and attended The Ohio State University.
