Kallee Wilkins Named Head Coach of Softball Program

DULUTH, Minn. – The College of St. Scholastica Athletics Department has named Kallee Wilkins as the new head softball coach, announced by Athletic Director Jessica Cherry on Wednesday morning. Wilkins becomes the seventh head coach in program history.

"While searching for a dynamic leader to continue the Saints tradition, Kallee checked every box the committee was seeking," Cherry stated. "We realized immediately we had an amazing candidate in our midst as she progressed through the hiring process. We are happy to have Kallee lead our Softball program. She has outstanding coaching experience and is connected to the needs of today's student-athletes. I am excited to see her growth and to what heights she takes this program."

"I am excited and blessed for the opportunity that Athletic Director Jessica Cherry and the search committee has given me here at St. Scholastica", said Wilkins. "I am looking forward to the experiences that I will learn here and I'm excited to bring my good and challenging experiences to the table and show this team we are and will be a team, on and off the field".

Wilkins comes from Sul Ross State University and she served as Assistant Softball and Assistant Volleyball Coach for the past two years. While at Sul Ross, her focus was working with Pitchers, Catchers, and the Outfield. Wilkins and the Lobos made the American Southwest Conference Tournament in 2022.
 
Prior to joining Sul Ross, she served as Assistant Coach at Northeast Texas Community College in Mount Pleasant, TX from 2021-2019.

Wilkins played at Texas A&M Texarkana University and was a part of the Inaugural Season, where the Lady Eagles competed in the NAIA Conference Tournament both years. She also played two seasons at Texas Wesleyan University.
 
Wilkins has her Master's Degree in Sports Administration from Sul Ross State University and she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Interdisciplinary Studies from TAMUT.

Wilkins plans to reside in Duluth, with her official start date to begin on Monday, November 6. For future information on the St. Scholastica softball program; keep checking csssaints.com.
