Job Summary
Auburn Athletics is excited to begin the search for a Graduate Assistant to work within our Ticket Operations & Sales Department! This position will apply functional knowledge, skills, and abilities from the educational program that are related to the administration and coordination of business and marketing tasks as well as project planning and management. The benefits added will be related to enhancing the student’s ability to develop, program, and implement business strategies as well as using analytical skills to solve problems, diagnose, and collect appropriate data within an organizational setting.
Essential Functions
  • Becoming proficient in Paciolan ticketing system including building, selling, managing inventory, online sales, promotions, communications and working with other departments such as marketing and communications to sell and promote assigned sport(s).
  • Utilization of Salesforce CRM and our partnerships with FEVO, VetTix, and SeatGeek to ensure our tickets are distributed in many different ways.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our fans, donors, students, and outside entities.
  • Serve as secondary ticket operations and secondary group sales contact for assigned sports.
  • Responsible for working each home football event.
  • Assist in day-to-day operations of the ticket office including inbound phone calls, answering emails, and overseeing Ticket Office training.
  • Assist in supervising selected basketball, gymnastics, baseball and softball events.
  • Training Student Staff, equipment setup, and testing for gamedays.
  • Will gain experience with our outbound sales team in strategy, implementation, and execution of sales practices. Making outbound calls for new, returning, and group sales for various sports.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled as an Auburn University graduate student.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Sport Management or a related field.

Acceptance into graduate school at Auburn University is required before candidate can officially be offered the position. Position requires a two-year commitment. Applicants selected for the position must then apply for and be accepted into the Auburn University graduate school. Position includes graduate school tuition waiver and monthly stipend.

To be on assistantship, the following is required:
  • Enrollment in a degree-seeking program
  • Satisfy the minimum load specifications of the individual departments and be making satisfactory progress toward the degree

The candidate must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and a willingness to work nights and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Paciolan ticket system is helpful but not required
  • Experience working in collegiate or professional sports are preferred
Pay Rate $1,235.05/monthly
