Peace Named Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Fan Engagement

KENT- The Golden Flashes have named Scott Peace the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Fan Engagement.

In this role, Peace will oversee the marketing and fan engagement for the 19 Golden Flash sports programs, as well as serve as a primary support arm for the Kent State spirit squads and band. He also serves as the campus and community partner liaison and will work closely with the ticket office, multi-media rights and branding.

"We are excited to welcome Scott and his family to the Kent State," Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director Suzette McQueen said. "He brings a wealth of experience in marketing, tickets and fund-raising and has a proven track record for successful fan engagement and attendance."

Peace comes to Kent State from the University of Evansville where he had served in a variety of roles since his start with the Purple Aces in 2014. He most recently served as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development and External Operations.

He joined the University of Evansville staff in July 2014 as the Director of Ticketing Services and Athletic Event Operations and was elevated to Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations in December 2016, Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Fan Engagement in June 2018 Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs in October 2020 before his final promotion in October 2021.

Peace oversaw a variety of departments during his time in Evansville. While serving as Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations at UE, Scott oversaw all ticket sales, service, retention, and operations for the Purple Aces' 7 ticketed sports. Peace was also responsible for the management of the External Affairs Interns and student workers and had sport oversight over the golf programs. As Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Fan Engagement and Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs, Scott was responsible for leading the external efforts of the athletic department including the overall marketing/promotional efforts, fan experience, game operations and event management. He also served as the sport supervisor for baseball, men's soccer and the spirit squads and was the liaison between the athletic department and Learfield.  Most recently, Peace oversaw the entire external operations of the athletic department at Evansville and served as the primary advancement officer.

He also had previous stops with the IMG/Learfield team at the University of South Florida and interned in the Louisville athletic department.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Peace earned his B.S. in Sport Administration from the University of Louisville in 2013 and his M.S. in Public Service Administration from the University of Evansville in 2018. Scott and his wife Sarah have one son, Rowan.
