GRAND FORKS, N.D. – North Dakota Athletics Director Bill Chaves has been appointed to serve as a representative on a pair of Football Championship Subdivision committees, as announced by the athletics department on Friday.  

"I appreciate Commissioner Patty Viverito and my counterparts in The Valley for entrusting me to represent our conference," said Chaves.  

Chaves will serve as the Missouri Valley Football Conference's representative on the NCAA FCS Central Region Advisory Committee as well as the FCS Athletic Director Association Executive Committee. 

While on the FCS Central Region Advisory Committee, Chaves will help provide insight towards the selection of the teams that will participate in the FCS playoffs to the selection committee by helping evaluate the credentials of the top ranked institutions in his region. 

Now in its 30th year, the FCS ADA's mission is to enhance Football Championship Subdivision football. The FCS ADA is administered by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), which is in its 59th year.
