Unique donation deal allows Rocklin’s Jessup University to expand to Oregon

Unique donation deal allows Rocklin’s Jessup University to expand to Oregon
I’M STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE SIGN TO JESSUP UNIVERSITY BECAUSE THIS SIGN IS THE LATEST SIGN OF HOW FAST THIS UNIVERSITY CONTINUES TO GROW. FOR PERSPECTIVE, TAKE A LOOK AT THE OLD SIGN. THIS CAMPUS ORIGINALLY NAMED WILLIAM JESSUP UNIVERSITY, WAS ESTABLISHED HERE IN ROCKLIN IN 2004 AS IT EXPANDED FROM SAN JOSE BIBLE COLLEGE. IT HAS SINCE NEARLY QUADRUPLED IN SIZE ON THE ROCKLIN CAMPUS OVER THE LAST 20 YEARS. AND NOW THIS UNIVERSITY ABOUT TO GROW AGAIN IN AFTER PORTLAND, OREGON’S MOST SONOMA UNIVERSITY COLLEGE HAS AGREED TO DONATE ITS ENTIRE CAMPUS AND SCHOOL. NEARLY $60 MILLION WORTH IN ASSETS TO JESSUP TO ALLOW JESSUP TO EXPAND OUT OF STATE. AND I THINK IT’S GOING TO INCREASE BECAUSE OF THIS. OUR WORKFORCE NEEDS ARE HUGE FOR THE FUTURE, ESPECIALLY IN PHYSICAL HEALTH, MENTAL HEALTH, TECHNOLOGY AND EDUCATION. AND THOSE ARE FOUR HUGE ARENAS THAT I THINK ARE GOING TO POWER US INTO THE FUTURE. SO BACK OUT HERE AS JESSUP PLANS TO EXPAND AGAIN AND INCREASE ITS SIZE AGAIN, I HAD TO ASK THE QUESTION, WHY WOULD MULTNOMAH COLLEGE MAKE THIS UNIQUE DONATION DEAL TO ESSENTIALLY HAND OVER ITS ENTIRE COLLEGE TO JESSUP UNIVERSITY AND MR. JACKSON, THE PRESIDENT OF JESSUP, TOLD ME, LIKELY HAS TO DO WITH ENROLLMENT OVER THE LAST TEN YEARS, MULTNOMAH COLLEGE HAS SEEN ITS ENROLLMENT DECLINE, SOME 43% OVER THAT SAME TIME PERIOD. THIS CAMPUS HAS NEARLY TRIPLED IN SIZE IN ROCKLIN PLACER COUNTY, MIKE TESELLE KCRA 3 NEWS AND JESSUP EXPECTS TO BEGIN ITS
