Carthage Football Head Coach Dustin Hass Resigns

KENOSHA, Wis. — Dustin Hass has stepped down as head football coach at Carthage College after six seasons.

His teams went 19-33 overall at Carthage. The Firebirds finished 3-7 this fall, winning two of their final three games.

Hass initially joined the staff in 2013 as a special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach. Rising to the position of defensive coordinator, he transformed the Carthage defense into one of the nation's best.

When Mike Yeager departed following the 2017 season, Carthage promoted Hass to head coach. Under his guidance, 31 players have earned All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) recognition.

"I am grateful for the dedication and support Dustin has given to the student-athletes in the football program and our athletic department," said Athletic Director Ryan Kane. "We wish him and his family much success in their future endeavors."

Carthage will begin a national search for its next football head coach immediately.
