GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Glenville State University Director of Athletics Jesse Skiles and Director of Wellness Tim Underwood have announced the unveiling of a new Mental Health Room on the mezzanine of the Waco Center. This safe space is the next step of the Athletic Department's initiative in this area as well as the institution.
On Friday, November 10th, the official ribbon cutting ceremony was consummated at the room. The area is being utilized under the oversight of Head Volleyball Coach Kiara Perkins, who has been working as a Case Worker in the field for three years. She serves as the department liaison for Underwood and his staff.
"This area is another step in our commitment to addressing the mental health needs of our student-athletes," Skiles said. "Having Coach Perkins in this role to assist Tim is a true blessing for our department."
