Kokomo, Ind. – IU Kokomo Athletic Director Tom Norris is excited to announce the hiring of IUK standout golfer, Brandi Jones as the next head coach. Brandi's duties as head coach of women's golf will begin this Fall.
Brandi, a Peru, Indiana native and Maconaquah High School graduate has been at IU Kokomo since the 2018 season. She is no-doubt one of the most accomplished student-athletes to set foot on campus. Jones took advantage of the revised COVID-19 policies and was able to earn both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in her six seasons of competition.
Her accolades on the course are too numerous to list as she has won nearly every tournament or award during her stellar career on the links. Most notably, Jones won back-to-back RSC Championship Medalist honors which qualified her for the 2022 and 2023 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships. She finished her career with a Top 20 finish this past Spring at the National Championship with a four round score of 310.
Jones owns all individual, season and career records for the ladies team and she now looks to build on her success with this current team. Brandi will oversee a team that finished a program best 2nd in the 2023 RSC Championships. "Ever since I started at IU Kokomo, my dream has been to leave the program better than I found it. I strived to achieve this as a player, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to pursue this goal as a coach. The IUK and Kokomo community have always been incredibly supportive of my career, and I am excited for all of us to start this new chapter together."
