Marian Athletics Launch Journey to 2030 Campaign

INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University Athletics is excited to launch their new strategic fundraising campaign to enhance the student-athlete experience across campus. Since 2017, more than $30 million has been invested in athletic facilities and scholarship. The construction of the Drew Family Health and Fitness Center increased the capacity to serve student-athletes with the construction of a state of the art weight room, new and expanded training room, doubling the size of the gymnasium, locker room upgrades and more.

As a continuation of these efforts, Marian University athletics is planning on making continued investments in athletic scholarship and facility improvements to St. Vincent Field. The proposed projects include the construction of a women's locker room, expansion and renovations to the current locker rooms, adding exterior athletic training facilities, ADA upgrades to the stadium and stadium seating, and a new digital video board. To date, more than $2.3 million has been pledge towards this effort.

Because of the generosity of several Marian donors, all new gifts or pledges between September 1 through April 2024 to athletic scholarship funds and the facility enhancement fund will be matched up to $1 million. Any individual who makes a gift or pledge above $250 will receive a complimentary invitation to the Clayton Family Circle of Honor Athletic dinner to announce the total raised. The Clayton Family Circle of Honor Athletic Dinner will be held in mid-to-late April, and details on the date will be announced at a later time. "I'm excited for the vision of the Journey to 2030 and what it means to fundraising for athletic development here at Marian University," said Director of Athletics Steve Downing. "We have a great committee assembled of people who are dedicated to help us grow our athletics. The new commitment to our outdoor athletic facilities is important, and we are looking forward to starting with the new locker room construction for our women's teams, as well as our home gameday stadium locker rooms. We are also eager to grow the gameday experience with the addition of a video board, which will help us remain a top-tier athletic program in all of college sports.

We have a great president who is seeing this vision through, and I could not be happier to officially help launch this initiative."
