Williamsburg, KY – The Cumberlands Athletic Department has been at the forefront of providing its student-athletes with opportunities under NIL. Finalizing a partnership with Athletic Solutions was the next step in that endeavor, the athletic department announced Friday. 
 
This partnership will provide Patriots student-athletes the opportunity to receive compensation for their own licensed apparel.  The partnership with Athletic Solutions is another effort by UC Athletics to make sure Patriots student-athletes are able to be compensated off of their name, image and likeness.  
 
Athletic Director Chris Kraftick said, "This is a pivotal step in ensuring that our student-athletes are given the opportunities to be at the forefront of the NIL landscape within the NAIA." 
 
Athletic Solutions was founded in late 2022 and is based out of Lenexa, Kansas. They create, operate, and maintain individual online apparel and merchandise stores for colleges, high schools, and clubs. By combining over 30 years of printing experience with a new, patent pending technology, the University of the Cumberlands will have stores for every student-athlete in the school, that will allow them to participate in NIL.

Cumberlands made history in 2022 becoming the first NAIA school to take advantage of Opendorse full NIL offering. 
 
The Patriots have 28 varsity sports and is coming off three consecutive top-ten finishes in the Learfield's Director Cup.
