OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stevenson University Director of Athletics Brett Adams has announced the hiring of
Megan Despres ' 23 as the Mustangs new head coach of the Acrobatics and Tumbling team.
No stranger to Owings Mills, Despres competed on the team for the last two seasons, while earning her degree in biological sciences with a 3.85 GPA.
"We are delighted to have Megan running our program," said Adams. "She's been here since the start of the program and someone of her pedigree will help our program to continue to grow."
Over the last two years, Despres has been named to the NCATA Academic Honor Roll, reserved for those who attain a GPA of 3.30 or higher.
A 16-year veteran of competitive gymnastics, Despres has coached recreational, levels 2-8 and the Excel programs as Harford Gymnastics since 2015. The last two summers, she has served as the Summer Camp Director at Harford. She was also a competitive gymnast at Harford from 2008 to 2020.
