Minot State athletics introduces Daniel Schuetz as leader for Fan Development

MINOT, N.D. – After helping make the first-season fan experience at Minot Hot Tots baseball a success, Daniel Schuetz is now ready to take on a similar role at Minot State.

Minot State's Director of Athletics, Kevin Forde, is pleased to introduce Schuetz as the Beavers' new Assistant Athletic Director for Revenue and Fan Development.

Schuetz begins his duties with the Beavers in mid-September.

"Daniel came very highly recommended by people who have done this job at a high level in Division II athletics," Forde said. "We came away from the interview impressed with his energy and the ideas he already has for Minot State University. It will be fun to watch Daniel, (Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations) Janna McKechnie, and their staff work to bring a new level of excitement to Beaver Athletics."

"I am extremely excited to be joining the athletic administration team at Minot State," Schuetz said. "While the NSIC is a tough conference, I can see that Kevin Forde and the athletic administration staff that he has assembled are making a very competitive push to be at the top of the conference. It is an exciting time to be a Beaver and I cannot wait to add my experience to the team."

That experience includes helping to build the Hot Tots brand locally this past year as Schuetz served as Ballpark Operations Manager for the Northwoods League team, coordinating everything from merchandise and concessions, to working on facility renovations at Corbett Field, as well as game-day and player operations.

"I was drawn to this position because of the importance of fan interaction at sporting events," said Schuetz, who earned his bachelor's degree in Sports and Leisure Management and Business Administration from the University of Mary in 2022. "Being a former NSIC player myself, being able to play is fun and enjoyable, however, once the fans get involved and really make their presence known at the stadium or arena, the level of play takes a massive step up. Being able to have a hand in helping make the stadium atmosphere electric is a task that I take immense pride in.

"I feel that I will bring new ideas and creativity to this role at Minot State," he added. "I am not afraid to employ different methods of fan and sponsor engagement to achieve the best game-day atmosphere possible."

Along with his extensive experience with the Hot Tots, Schuetz also served as manager at Grand Slam USA in North Carolina during 2021 and 2022, a baseball and softball training facility for all levels of athletes.

During his time at the University of Mary, Schuetz coordinated the Cancer Awareness event for Mary's women's basketball team, coordinated the fan game-day experience during the Marauder football spring game, and served as an athletic department operations intern working in ticketing, assisting with game-day promotions, and facility management.
