Milich Joins Administrative Staff

WINCHESTER, Va. -  The Shenandoah University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced Monday the hiring of Matt Milich as associate athletic director and the director of athletic communications.
 
Milich, joining Shenandoah from Cabrini University, earned a Master of Business Administration in sports management from Columbia Southern University in 2012.
 
While obtaining his master's, Milich served as the director of operations for the New Jersey Outlaws, a minor league hockey team in the Federal Prospect Hockey League.
 
Following his time with the Outlaws, Milich held internships at Cabrini College and Haverford College before becoming the athletic facilities assistant at the University of Pennsylvania.
 
At Penn, he managed the events for seven sports and assisted with four more.
 
While at Penn, the New Jersey native became the director of gameday operations at Cairn. Milich, a 2006 graduate of Cairn, was later promoted to associate athletic director and served as interim athletic director for the Highlanders.
 
With the Highlanders, he oversaw game operations, assisted with budgets, and managed a team of student workers.
 
After his time at Cairn and Penn, Milich was hired as assistant athletic director at Cabrini University earlier this year. With the Cavilers he managed the department's website, supervised game operations, and assisted with facility operations.
 
Milich is married to his wife Mandy and together they have two kids, Sophia and William.
 
Milich starts his role immediately.
