Tyler A. Williams joined the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) as the Associate Commissioner in August of 2023.
 
Williams – a Georgia native – joins the CCS league office staff after spending the last seven years as the Associate Commissioner of Communications and Senior Woman Administrator at the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). 
 
While at the conference, Williams served as the primary contact for all league championships including football, cross country, volleyball, basketball, tennis, golf, track and field, softball, and baseball. In her role, she served as the primary conference liaison for media relations and championships working with host cities/institutions to ensure the successful management of all championship events. 
 
Williams was a member of the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM), College Sport Communicators (CSC, formerly CoSIDA), and Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA). She was also a member of Division II Conference Information Directors Association (D2CIDA) and has served on the South Region Division II Men’s Golf Regional Advisory Committee, D2SIDA Men’s Basketball Regional Advisory Committee, and the South Region Division II Women’s Volleyball Regional Advisory Committee. A member of several professional organizations, she has also participated in numerous executive leadership programs sponsored by the NCAA.
 
Williams oversaw the growth of the SIAC’s online presence by serving as the primary conference liaison for the media relations. In this position, she was an essential asset in the redesign of the conference website, the implementation of archival system, the planning and execution of press conferences, media days, and other special events, the revamping of the conference’s awards nomination and voting process. She has experience managing student-athletes, administration, alumni, and fans by providing leadership to 15 institutions across Southeastern region spanning seven states. She has also negotiated contract terms with digital content providers (streaming, talent, etc.) and oversaw streaming production for over 50+ regular season games, championships, and special events. 
 
Prior to the conference, she was active at the institutional level working with Clark Atlanta’s sports information department as a women’s volleyball student-athlete while pursuing her undergraduate degree from 2015-2016. Her role included writing, editing, and updating weekly releases for CAU sponsored sports.
 
Williams is from Stone Mountain, Georgia and graduated with her Master of Science in Sport Administration from Georgia State University in 2020. She is also a former Division II women’s volleyball student-athlete that graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Arts in 2018.
 
She is currently a resident of Macon, Georgia with her fiancé and is pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy in Sport Administration at Georgia State University.
