Jake Ayers Named CSAC Assistant Commissioner


VILLANOVA, Pa. – Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Commissioner Marie Stroman is proud to announce the hiring of Jake Ayers as Assistant Commissioner. Ayers began his duties with the CSAC on Nov. 7.
 
“Jake brings an expansive resume to the role of assistant commissioner, having worked across multiple departments at Division III institutions. I believe he will thrive in the fast-paced, multi-faceted environment of the CSAC office” said Marie Stroman, CSAC Commissioner. “His knowledge of coaching, sports information, and game day operations, along with his passion for the student-athlete experience, will allow him to work effectively with the many constituents of the conference.”
 
Ayers joins the CSAC with over ten years of college athletic experience, including five years as the Director of Athletic Facilities & Sport Operations at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps(CMS). He managed game-day operations for all 21 varsity sports including postseason administration for multiple conference and NCAA championships. Prior to moving to an administrative role, Ayers also served as an assistant baseball coach at CMS.
 
Additionally, Ayers worked across the Claremont Colleges on athletic facility maintenance, scheduling, capital planning, off-campus rents and alumni and parent relations.
 
“I am excited to join the CSAC. I want to thank Commissioner Stroman and the search committee for the opportunity to work together in helping to provide an outstanding student-athlete experience on each campus,” Ayers said.
 
In 2018, Ayers assisted CMS in hosting the NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships, as well as leading the CMS team in securing hosting the 2023 NCAA DIII Women’s Volleyball Championships, 2025 NCAA DIII Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships, and the 2026 NCAA DIII Women’s Golf Championships.
 
Prior to CMS, Ayers had stops as the Coordinator for Alumni and Parent Relations at Harvey Mudd College. He also served a stint as the lead in signature events and development. Ayers also joins the CSAC with a strong Division III coaching presence. He served as a baseball coach across various institutions including CMS, Pomona-Pitzer, Juniata College and Knox College.
 
Ayers holds a Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University in Irvine, Ca. Ayers was a baseball and football student-athlete and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Social Science Education from Knox College.
 
Ayers stated, “I can’t wait to get started continuing the great work of the CSAC and our membership!”
