GEN | Conner elevated to Assistant A.D. for Sports Performance

ALAMOSA, Colo. – Adams State University Athletic Director Katelyn Smith has announced that Brady Conner has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance, effective immediately.

"It is a blessing to be put in this position by the University. I have enjoyed every minute of the last seven years working with our student athletes and coaches," said Conner. "I am excited to build on the athletic program's prior accomplishments and look forward to what the future holds for Adams State University."

Conner transitioned into this role after serving as the Director of Strength & Conditioning since November 2021.

Conner came to Adams State in 2011 where he played football through 2015. During this time, he was a four-year starter as a tight end and fullback, while also playing multiple special teams positions for the Grizzlies. Conner studied exercise science during his undergraduate period at Adams State, receiving multiple academic accolades.

At the conclusion of his playing career, Conner immediately took over the role of Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Adams State while receiving his Master's Degree in Business Leadership.

"I am very happy for Conner to take on this new and deserving role," said Smith. "He bleeds green, always puts the student athletes first and in his time here, has made a huge impact on this department."

In his new role, he will continue to serve as an Adams State University athletics leadership team member. Under Conner, the program uses evidence-based training modalities to provide optimal structural integrity, strength, power, and speed outputs relative to each specific sport in the University. In addition, Conner administers all nutritional programming, conditioning, agility, mobility, and coordination training. The program aims to increase athletic performance while simultaneously decreasing the likelihood of injuries.
