Feldman Named Keystone Wrestling Head Coach

LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College Department of Athletics named Andrew Feldman as the next head wrestling coach, announced by Director of Athletic Scott Gower on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

"I'm extremely honored and excited to be the new head coach at Keystone College," Feldman stated. "I want to thank Scott and the rest of the administration for this amazing opportunity. I am looking forward to getting started and continuing to build on the Keystone College wrestling tradition."

Feldman joins Keystone after spending the past seven seasons as the Head Assistant Coach/ Recruiting Coordinator at Wilkes University. At Wilkes, Feldman assisted with every aspect of the wrestling program. He also traveled to dual competitions and tournaments to recruit prospective student athletes.

Before joining the Wilkes coaching staff, Feldman had success coaching at the high school level.  From 2015-2017, he was the Assistant Wrestling/ Strength and Conditioning Coach at Wyoming Seminary Upper School.

During his tenure at Wyoming Seminary, Feldman coached the 2015-16 team which was ranked No. 1 in the country for the entire season while also winning the prestigious Ironman tournament. The 2016-17 team went 24-0 in duals which included defeating the No. 1 ranked team in the country.

 Prior to that, he was the head coach at Wyoming Valley West High School from 2012-2015.  Feldman's teams won the 2013 and 2014 Division I Championship, the 2014 Wyoming Valley Conference Championship, and the 2014 PIAA District II AAA Dual and Tournament Championship.

He coached six district champions, two regional champions, six state qualifiers, three state medalists, one state finalist, and seven NHSCA All-Americans. Feldman earned PIAA District II AAA Coach of the Year honors in 2014 as well as receiving the PIAA District II Officials Sportsmanship Award the same year. 

Feldman is a Wilkes University alum where he had a stellar wrestling career with the Colonels. He notched three consecutive second-place finishes in the conference tournament from 2008-2010, the 2008 champion at 285 pounds at the Monarch Invitational at King's College, a member of the 2009 Metropolitan Conference team champions, and was an NCAA Division III Academic All-American.  Feldman was named team captain his senior year.

Feldman graduated from Wilkes in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Criminology. He resides in Swoyersville, Pa.
