TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has named James Vinson as its next Associate Athletic Director for Athletics, Communications, and Public Relations. He returns to Rose-Hulman after serving as a Graduate Assistant for the Sports Information department during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 academic years.

Vinson comes to Rose-Hulman after spending three full years as the Head Sports Information Director at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois where he served as the primary contact for all 24 varsity sports programs.

Prior to his time at Illinois College, he spent two years as a graduate assistant at Rose-Hulman for Kevin Lanke where he served as the primary contact for Men's and Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Tennis, Softball, and Women's Basketball.

Vinson graduated from Mt. St. Joseph University in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management. He served as a Sports Information Intern in the Mt. St. Joseph Athletics Department during his last two years in school. He also earned his Master's degree in Sports Management from Indiana State in 2020.
