NORTH NEWTON, Kan. - The Bethel College Athletic Department has announced the appointment of Julio Martinez as Head Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach.

Julio is a former Bethel runner, as well as assistant coach.

"Julio was brought in to provide stability for our cross country programs." Interim Director of Athletics Collin Loutensock stated. "Julio has spent time here as both a student-athlete and as a coach, he cares deeply about both of our programs and wants to see them succeed."

Prior to returning to Bethel, Martinez spent the last four seasons at Bethany College as an assistant cross country coach.

"I am thankful for the opportunity to return to my alma mater and have a chance to once again make an impact," Martinez stated. " I am looking forward to leading the programs and continuing to build upon the success they have had over the past few years."

Julio will begin working with both the men's and women's cross country teams immediately.
