Wesleyan Welcomes Elizabeth Wilson as New Head Lacrosse Coach

Rocky Mount, NC -  The N.C. Wesleyan athletic department is thrilled to announce Elizabeth "Liz" Wilson as the seventh Head Coach in Women's Lacrosse program history. A native of Raleigh NC, and graduate of Cardinal Gibbons, Wilson won three state championships with the Crusaders and was named the 2017 NC Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year.

In 2018, she began her college lacrosse career at the University of Richmond before transferring to East Carolina where Wilson was a three year standout for the Pirate's program. 

At East Carolina, she was named to the AAC All-Academic Team twice and received her MBA from ECU IN 2023 while earning Outstanding Graduate Honors from East Carolina's School of Business. Wilson would also serve as Morgan's Message Ambassador for the University during her time in Greenville.

Wilson has always had a passion for coaching her entire life, coaching multiple club teams across the state including the Carolina Fever, Rival Lacrosse (Raleigh), and 252 Premier (Greenville). She also has a special connection with AFA, which she began coaching in 2019, and has continued with the program ever since.
 
Personal: Daughter of Suzanne and Bill Wilson…Full name is Elizabeth Wilson…Has one older sister, Faith and a twin brother, Evan…Also lettered for four years in field hockey, earning All-Conference honors and helping the Crusaders to appearances in the state semifinals during her sophomore and junior seasons…Sister, Faith, played soccer at Wingate University.
