Kendrick Hired as Trinity's New Assistant Athletic Director for Communications

Kendrick brings experience from NCAA DI, DIII & NAIA levels

HARTFORD, Conn. - Chris Kendrick has been hired as the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications at Trinity College, as of September 11th, 2023. Kendrick will helm an athletics communications department responsible for covering Trinity College's 30 NCAA Division III athletics programs.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be joining the Bantams athletics community," said Kendrick. "Trinity has a proven track record of athletics success, and I'm looking for to be a part of that tradition moving forward. I'm honored that Athletic Director Drew Galbraith selected me for this position, and I'm excited to take my passion and enthusiasm for collegiate athletics to Trinity College."

Prior to joining the Bantams staff, Kendrick served as Sports Information Director at Elms College and Northwood University. While at Elms, Kendrick was the primary media contact for all 15 varsity sports, while expanding the college's reach via social media and broadcasting. During his time at Northwood, now known as Keiser University, Kendrick revitalized the Seahawks Sports Information Department into one of the top departments in The Sun Conference. He served as host Sports Information Director for three Sun Conference championships, and had two student-athletes earn Capital One/CoSida Academic All-American status. Kendrick was a 2013-14 NAIA-SIDA Walt McAlexander Publication contest award-winner for his work on the Seahawks' Men's Basketball media guide.

"As the field of athletic communications continues to evolve at a rapid rate, the need for professionals with a broad skill set, like Chris, is ever apparent. We look forward to his leadership and efforts in this area."

Kendrick held the role of Sports Information Graduate Assistant at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth (UMD) for two years while earning his master's degree in Business Administration. At UMass-Dartmouth, Kendrick assisted with writing press releases, maintain statistics, media relations coordination, and provided the play-by-play commentary for the UMD broadcasts.

Kendrick began his Sports Information career as a student assistant at Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts. After a year at Curry, he transferred to the University of Montana to finish earning a bachelor's degree in Communications while working as a sports writer for the University of Montana athletics website, covering Football and Men's Basketball.

Kendrick lives in Enfield with his wife Megan, daughter Kinsley (3), and two dogs.
