Finn Named Director of Tennis and Head Women's Tennis Coach

Director of Athletics Kris Swogger announced the promotion of Daniel Finn as Director of Tennis and Head Women's Tennis Coach on Friday afternoon.

"I am excited to announce Coach Finn as our Director of Tennis," said Swogger. "Daniel has done a tremendous job coaching both our women's and men's team over the last 8 seasons, and has elevated our tennis program to an elite level. His teams excel both on and off the court, and in his new role he will be able to continue to coach while also serving as a mentor to the tennis staff. There are great things in the future for Keiser Tennis."

Finn enters his ninth year at Keiser. He was the Head Coach of the Men's and Women's teams in his previous role.

"I am excited and grateful for this opportunity and promotion," Finn said. "I want to say thank you to Kris Swogger and Dr. Gary Vonk for entrusting me and for their continuing support for myself and both the women's and men's tennis programs. Being able to put all my focus and energy into one program as the head coach is a dream for almost all coaches. Over the past 8 years, it has been a privilege to see what the programs have become and I'm excited to focus my attention to the women's program's success while being entrusted with helping mentor the next men's coach to continue to evolve the program. I am confident that both programs will greatly benefit from this transition, and only bigger and better things are in store for these already storied programs."

As a coach of the women's team at Keiser, Finn boasts a 135-37 overall record with five trips to the NAIA National Championship. He has guided his players to an ITA Cup Singles Championship in 2023 and an ITA Cup Doubles Championship in 2017. On six different occasions, Finn was named the Sun Conference Women's Coach of the Year and has coached 21 NAIA All-Americans on the women's side.

Finn spent time working at Lindsey Wilson College where he led his teams to the NAIA Quarterfinals and NAIA Semifinals. Finn has accumulated a 139-55 record as a men's coach and a record of 85-74 as a women's head coach.

Finn guided UAH to the program's first-ever NCAA DII Tournament win with a first round victory over Stillman, 5-1.
