Kristen Brown Named Assistant Athletic Director of Communications

WATERBURY, Conn. -- Post University Athletics has recently named Kristen Brown as the new Assistant Director of Athletic Communications.

Brown hails from Gloucester, Massachusetts where she was an integral part of Gordon College Athletics as the Assistant Sports Information Director. During her undergrad, Brown competed as a Fighting Scot as a pitcher and first baseman on the softball team where she currently holds records in three pitching statistics. After graduating from Gordon with a degree in Recreation, Sport, and Wellness as well as a Business Administration minor, Brown continued working at her alma matter while obtaining her Masters in Sport Administration online from Oral Roberts University which she completed in May of 2023.

As a staff member at Gordon, Brown wore multiple hats in the athletic department including website management, photography, writing game stories and press releases, as well as taking and analyzing statistics. Brown's favorite memories from working and playing at Gordon are from the baseball and softball Spring Break trip to Clermont, Florida.

Additionally, Brown has multiple experiences coaching girls' softball in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts at the elite level as sharing her love of the game is still one of her passions. Along with sports, Brown also enjoys weightlifting, being active, and spending time with her family including her two nieces. She resides in Southbury, Connecticut.

"I am ecstatic to be blessed with this opportunity to join Post Athletics! The faculty and Staff as well as the athletes have been incredibly welcoming from the first time I stepped foot on campus and I'm glad to be be a part of such a great community and program. I look forward to improving the communications department and get the students more excited about athletics while giving the athletes the spotlight they have worked so hard for."
