DeAugustine stated, "I am incredibly humbled and honored to be chosen as the next Head Wresting Coach at Seton Hill University.  I would like to thank Athletic Director Chris Snyder and his Committee for their confidence in selecting me to lead this program.  My family and I are thrilled to become part of the Griffin Family."

Seton Hill Athletic Director Chris Snyder said, "I am delighted to welcome Vince DeAugustine to the Griffin athletic family serving as our Head Wrestling Coach. He has proven himself as one of the most successful wrestling coaches in the State. He brings great enthusiasm and passion for the sport that I am sure will be a huge asset in terms of recruiting future Griffin wrestlers."

DeAugustine most recently was the head coach at Hempfield High School where he has been the head coach for sixteen of the past eighteen years.  Vince also spent two seasons as the head wrestling coach at Norwin High School from 2019-2020, where he coached the school's only state champion in Kurtis Phipps.

During his 18 seasons as head coach, DeAugustine has coached eight PIAA state champions, five PIAA state runners up and 39 PIAA state place winners.  Vince has coached eighteen WPIAL Champions and fourty five section champions.  Fifty five of his wrestlers have qualified for states with 150 WPIAL qualifiers.

As a team, DeAugustine has coached a WPIAL Championship team in 2007 and a PIAA State Runner up in 2021. Vince has coached six Top 8 PIAA State place winners, won two Southwest Regional Championships and five Section Championships while earning 17 out of 18 playoff appearances.

DeAugustine has also spent time as a football and baseball assistant coach.

After wrestling at the University of Buffalo, DeAugustine transferred to Saint Vincent where he played baseball and was the first All American in the 120 year history of the baseball program.

DeAugustine is the owner/president of the Manor Valley Golf Course.  He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Wrestling Hall of Fame and Southwestern Pennsylvania Hall of Fame.
