LIBERTY, Mo. – William Jewell College President Dr. Elizabeth MacLeod Walls has announced that Chris McCabe will serve as Interim Athletics Director, effective August 2. The Department and College will begin a transition of leadership on Tuesday as Tom Eisenhauer, '06 departs after more than 20 years on campus as a student, coach and Athletics Director.
 
McCabe enters his fifth year as the head men's basketball coach in 2023-2024 and has led one of the best on-court turnarounds in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, winning 30 games over the last two seasons. In addition, to the men's basketball program, McCabe has educational leadership experience prior to his arrival on The Hill after serving as a coach and administrator at Liberty North High School and he holds a master's in educational administration from Northwest Missouri State.
 
The College continues to undergo an extensive search process working through robust pool of applicants to identify the next leader of Cardinal Athletics.
