Lewis Named Wilkes Women's Golf Head Coach

WILKES-BARRE – Wilkes University Director of Athletics Scott Musa has announced the hiring of Jeff Lewis as the head coach for the Wilkes women's golf program. Lewis becomes the third head coach of the program since its first season in 2014-15.

Lewis is a member of the Wyoming Valley Country Club and also serves as a member of the Greens Committee, Youth Advisory Committee, and Youth Scholarship Program. He has been a participant in the Anthracite Golf Association and the Golf Association of Philadelphia since 2010.

"We are excited to bring Jeff in as the next head women's golf coach at Wilkes as he has an area youth golf connection and the ambition to grow the program," Musa said.

Lewis is a lifelong resident of Hanover Township and a 1998 graduate of Life University School of Chiropractic and has been in private practice as the owner of Lewis Chiropractic for 25 years. From 2000 to 2010 Lewis served as the Tournament Chiropractor for the PGA Tour Korn Ferry Tour's Steamtown Classic.

He serves as an assistant coach for Wyoming Seminary Upper School girls' basketball and is the head coach of Wyoming Seminary Lower School girls' basketball. Lewis has served as the Vice Chairman of Hanover Township Board of Commissioners for the past 17 years and has served as the President of the Hanover Area Recreation Board for the last 10 years.

Lewis is a 1992 graduate of Hanover Area Jr./Sr. High School. He resides in Hanover Township with his wife Nicole and four children Julia (17), Rachel (16), Jeffrey (14), and Lauren (10).

Lewis begins his duties at Wilkes on Wednesday, July 26.
