Harris Tabbed as Director of Tennis for Elmhurst University

ELMHURST, Ill. - Elmhurst University and Director of Athletics Glen Brittich have announced the hiring of Warren Harris as Director of Tennis for the Elmhurst men's and women's tennis programs.

"Coach Harris is a very experienced coach and we are excited to welcome him to Elmhurst University" Brittich said. "It was very clear through our interview process, Coach Harris wanted to emphasize the development and experience of our student athletes. With Coach Harris leading our tennis program, the future is extremely bright."

Harris comes to Elmhurst after serving as the head men's and women's tennis coach at Northern Vermont University. Prior to his time at NVU, Harris was the head men's and women's tennis coach at Waubonsee Community College, and also served as the head coach of The Latin School of Chicago.

Harris earned the Illinois High School Tennis Coaches Association Coach of the Year award in 2019, also earning the Independent School League's Coach of the Year award in the same year after leading the Lady Romans to a 19-6 overall record, including a Class 1A third-place finish in the state.

A coaching professional with over 20 years of experience coaching, playing, and instructing tennis players, Harris has worked individually with hundreds of tennis athletes across the state of Illinois and other areas such as Cleveland, Ohio, Detroit, and the Michigan areas.
