Joey Logan was promoted to Deputy Athletic Director in July of 2023.
Logan was hired as the department’s first Assistant Director of Athletics for Business Operations in 2017. In his current role, Logan is part of the department’s leadership team and is primarily responsible for the athletics department’s budgetary oversight. In addition, Logan supervises CBU’s wrestling, women’s and men’s water polo, and women’s basketball programs; and oversees the athletics ticketing office.
Logan served in a central role for securing the department’s current apparel partnership with Adidas and serves on the executive committee for Golden Coast Conference and Western Water Polo Association.
Prior to his current role, Logan worked as the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at San Francisco State University. During his time at SF State, Logan was responsible for all areas of the university’s NCAA rules compliance program, the department’s scholarship budget, game oversight of athletic events, and ticket operations.
Before San Francisco, Logan served CBU in a different capacity as the university’s NCAA academic certification officer, monitoring academic eligibility for the current 19 sports programs and 470 student-athletes.
Outside of athletics, Logan assisted in estate planning and strategic giving for the California Southern Baptist Convention.
Logan graduated from CBU with a degree in Political Science in 2010 and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2014. While attending law school, Logan worked in the IU athletics department as an intern for Compliance and the Sr. Associate Athletic Director of Regulatory Affairs.
Logan is married to the former Hannah Price (Alum 2011), and they have three children: Myla, Reese, and Colton.
