DANVILLE, Ky. – A partnership between Nexus Licensing, Centre Athletics' official licensing partner, and Athlete Thread/Greek House DBA will offer Centre student-athletes one of the first co-licensed NIL opportunities among NCAA Division III institutions. Under contract with Athlete Thread, registered Colonels can earn commission from the sale of customizable gear and jerseys featuring their name and number and the official Centre Athletics logos, in return for brand promotion.

"We are dedicated to providing our Centre student-athletes the best opportunities in Division III, and that includes supporting compensation for their Name, Image, and Likeness," states Deputy Athletic Director Aly Lilley. "We are excited that all of our Colonels can start earning and learning through this unique partnership with Athlete's Thread and are grateful to Nexus Licensing for their efforts in making this possible."

The new partnership will feature NIL licensed product for all 600+ Centre student-athletes. Alumni, families, and fans will see new gear featuring Colonel names and numbers added weekly as more student-athletes sign with Athlete Thread and just over 20 Colonels are already finalizing their contracts in the partnership's first week.

"It is exciting to see outside entities take notice of the incredible student-athletes we have at Centre," noted Director of Athletics Brad Fields. "We take the holistic education of those in our care seriously and, in addition to providing a nationally competitive experience with first-class facilities, these new NIL opportunities create new avenues for entrepreneurship with our Colonels."

The gear currently offered for Centre can be found at the link below:
